Edelbrock part #28001 Big Victor 2 Spread-Port intake manifold is designed for large cubic-inch or high rpm drag racing big-blocks with Edelbrock Big Victor, Dart Big Chief or Brodix Big Duke cylinder heads, this manifold has an average runner area of approximately 4.75 sq. in. The port exits have been reduced to accommodate the wide variety of intake port sizes and require port matching. The runners have a minimum corner radius of .500" from the plenum to the exit allowing the popular oval port shape to be used. The outside runners are shorter and straighter than competitor's manifolds and the plenum is longer front to back. These features, combined with approximately 5% taper in runner cross-sectional area, give better top end horsepower while maintaining consistency and throttle response off the stop. All applications are equipped with a 4500 Series flange and will accept 2.25" throttle body butterflies without a spacer or modification. • Use Appropriate 4500-Series Carburetor

The Edelbrock Big Victor 2 Spread-Port Intake Manifold (Part #28001) is engineered for high-performance racing applications involving large cubic-inch or high RPM big-block Chevrolet engines. Designed to optimize airflow in drag racing setups, this manifold pairs seamlessly with Edelbrock Big Victor, Dart Big Chief, or Brodix Big Duke cylinder heads, providing an excellent platform for maximum horsepower at high RPMs. The manifold features an average runner area of approximately 4.75 square inches, with port exits that have been carefully reduced to accommodate a variety of intake port sizes, requiring proper port matching for optimal performance. The runners incorporate a minimum corner radius of 0.500 inches from the plenum to the exit, allowing the use of popular oval port shapes for improved airflow efficiency. Outside runners are intentionally shorter and straighter than competing designs, and the plenum is elongated front to back to promote better airflow distribution and volumetric efficiency. The manifold’s approximately 5% taper in runner cross-sectional area enhances top-end horsepower while preserving throttle response and consistency off the line. Equipped with a 4500 Series flange, it accepts 2.25-inch throttle body butterflies directly, eliminating the need for spacers or modifications. This intake manifold is ideal for racers seeking high RPM performance and maximum power output in big-block Chevrolet applications, especially when paired with the appropriate carburetor and cylinder heads to optimize airflow and combustion efficiency.
