Inspect Your Package Within 3 Days of Delivery
Open and thoroughly inspect every item within 3 business days of delivery. Damage and defect claims cannot be accepted after this window. Check everything before you install anything.
Requirement 2
Get an RMA Number Before Shipping Anything Back
Contact us to obtain an approved Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Returns sent without an RMA will be refused. Each RMA is valid for 14 days — ship within that window using a service that is both trackable AND insured.
Requirement 3
Return Products & Packaging in Good Condition
Items must be unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging with all parts, hardware, and accessories. Products that are damaged, modified, painted, or incomplete will not qualify for return.

Item Arrived Damaged or Defective

If your shipment arrived damaged or the product is defective, follow these steps:

  1. Contact us within 3 business days of delivery. Include your order number and a description of the issue.
  2. Send photos within 2 business days of your initial report — photos of both the product and the packaging are required to authorize the claim.
  3. Do not install, paint, or modify the item. Once an item has been installed or altered, it is no longer eligible for a damage or defect claim.

You'll receive a replacement, not a refund. Damaged or defective items are eligible for replacement only. Once we verify the claim, we'll send a replacement at no cost to you and cover all shipping — including a prepaid return label for the damaged item. Refunds are not offered in place of replacement.

If you paid for insured shipping: Damage claims must be filed directly with the shipping carrier's insurance. ModBargains is not involved in the insurance claim process for shipments where insurance was purchased separately by the customer.

Important Notes

  • Carriers generally require shipping damage claims within 5 business days, which is why fast reporting is critical.
  • After 3 business days from delivery, damage and defect claims cannot be accepted.
  • Parts damaged by faulty customer installation are the customer's responsibility.
  • If the issue is reported after our return period expires, the claim must go through the manufacturer's warranty process. We're happy to point you in the right direction — see the Refunds & Shipping tab.

Fitment & Product Verification

Product Images & Compatibility

  • Product images are provided for reference only and may not reflect exact variations of the item. Fitment and compatibility are determined by part number and product specifications, not images.
  • Customers are solely responsible for verifying compatibility using vehicle details including year, make, model, trim, and any modifications.
  • If you have any uncertainty regarding fitment, color, product variation, or included components, you must contact ModBargains prior to ordering. Failure to do so will result in the order being treated as a customer ordering error.

Pre-Shipment Confirmation

  • Any product photos or confirmations provided prior to shipment are considered final verification of the item being supplied.
  • Approval of a product image or confirmation message indicates acceptance of the item as correct.

Incorrect Fitment

Important: If the product received matches the item you ordered and approved but does not fit your vehicle, it will be treated as a customer ordering error, subject to return shipping costs and applicable restocking fees. This applies even if the product differs from expectations based on third-party images, discontinued variations, or assumptions about appearance.

Pre-Installation Requirement

  • All items must be test-fitted prior to installation, painting, or modification.
  • Installed or modified items are considered used and non-returnable, regardless of fitment outcome.

We Shipped the Wrong Part (Our Error)

If you received the wrong item and your order was placed correctly:

  1. Contact us within 14 days of delivery to report the error.
  2. Do not install, paint, or modify the item. Verify that delivered items match your order confirmation before any installation. If the wrong part has been installed, it becomes your property.
  3. Obtain an approved RMA and ship the item back in original packaging with all contents.
  4. We'll cover domestic return shipping. For international returns, shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.
  5. Once we confirm receipt, we'll send the correct part.

Need the correct part fast? Place a deposit equal to 100% of the item's cost and we'll ship the replacement immediately. Once we receive and inspect the wrong item, your deposit is fully refunded.

If you prefer a refund instead of an exchange, the return will be processed under the "Incorrect Parts Ordered" terms below, including applicable restocking fees.

I Ordered the Wrong Part (My Error)

We provide detailed product descriptions and free tech support to help you verify compatibility. It's your responsibility to confirm parts match your vehicle before ordering.

  1. Contact us within 14 days of delivery to request a return.
  2. Obtain an approved RMA and ship the item back in original packaging with 100% of original contents via prepaid ground shipping (at your expense).
  3. Items must be unused, uninstalled, and in resalable condition.

Phone & email orders: Our reps verify all details before submission, but it's your responsibility to review the order confirmation email for accuracy and notify us of any errors before the item ships.

Shipping charges are non-refundable, including actual shipping costs incurred under any "Free Shipping" promotion. After 14 days from delivery, all sales are final.

Change of Mind Returns

We get it — sometimes you change your mind. If you simply no longer want a product you ordered:

  1. Contact us within 14 days of delivery to request an RMA.
  2. The product must be in new, unused, uninstalled condition with all original packaging and contents.
  3. Ship the item back via prepaid standard ground shipping (at your expense) within the 14-day RMA validity window.

After 14 days from delivery, all sales are final for change-of-mind returns. Custom or special-order items are non-returnable — see the Cancellations tab for details.

Wheel Returns

Wheels require special handling. These rules apply in addition to general return conditions:

Critical: Wheels that have had tires mounted or have been installed on a vehicle are considered used and are not returnable under any circumstances. This includes wheels that were shipped with tires already mounted at the customer's request — once tires are mounted, the wheels are considered used regardless of who performed the installation.

  1. You must fully inspect all wheels upon receipt and before installation.
  2. You have 14 days from delivery to report incorrect or defective wheels.
  3. Shipping damage must be reported within 3 business days of delivery.
  4. Obtain an approved RMA and return wheels in original packaging with all contents before replacements are shipped.
  5. Defective or incorrect wheels are eligible for replacement only, not refund.

Failure to inspect wheels prior to installation may result in the return being declined.

Order Cancellations

  1. Not yet charged? Cancel without penalty.
  2. Charged, packaged, or labeled? A 10% cancellation fee applies. Most orders are prepared very quickly after placement — please don't order unless you intend to receive and pay for the item.
  3. Already shipped? You must follow the Return Authorization procedure. You'll be responsible for all return shipping / rerouting fees, and a restocking fee may apply.

Refusing delivery ≠ cancellation. A refused delivery will incur a 15% restocking fee, plus all return shipping costs. Always contact us to cancel properly.

Missed Shipments & Failed Deliveries

ModBargains is not responsible for missed deliveries. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure someone is available to receive the package and to provide accurate delivery information at checkout.

If you experience a missed or failed delivery, notify us within 14 days.

  • You are responsible for providing accurate delivery information at checkout.
  • If delivery fails due to incorrect address information, you pay all return shipping fees plus any reshipping cost.
  • Returned items due to failed delivery may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.
  • If you request a refund instead of reshipping, all shipping fees (initial + return) will be deducted.

Lost Shipments

If a shipment is lost in transit, we'll file a claim with the carrier. Refunds, exchanges, or replacements will be issued once the carrier confirms the claim.

For non-signature-required deliveries: if tracking confirms delivery to the address you provided, our delivery obligation is considered fulfilled.

Special & Custom Orders

Custom-made or special-order items (e.g., custom-machined wheels) are non-returnable unless confirmed defective or damaged.

Important: Special and custom orders are refundable only before production begins. Once production has started, the order becomes non-refundable — no exceptions except for confirmed defects or damage on arrival.

  • Pre-payment is required. Most orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit.
  • Cancellations before production begins may be eligible for a full refund of any amount paid above the deposit.
  • Cancellations after production begins are non-refundable per your Special Order Form.
  • The Special Order Agreement signed at the time of purchase governs — the standard cancellation procedures above do not apply.

Back Orders

If an item is backordered, we'll provide special order form paperwork. Terms in that form supersede the cancellation procedures above. In-stock items from your order will ship immediately when possible at no extra cost; if splitting shipment requires an additional fee, we'll contact you for approval.

How Refunds Work

Refunds are processed after we receive and inspect the returned item.

  1. Refunds are issued using your original payment method whenever possible.
  2. Wire transfer payments are refunded by company check.
  3. Credit/debit card refunds go back to the same card number used for the original purchase.
  4. Allow 5–10 business days after inspection for the refund to appear.

What May Be Deducted

Where applicable: restocking fees (see the relevant tab for rates), original shipping costs (including actual costs under "Free Shipping" promotions), and fees for missing parts or damage found during inspection.

120-Day Limit: Refund requests submitted more than 120 days after the original transaction may be issued as store credit at our discretion.

Gift certificates are non-refundable. If you violate any provision of this policy, all refunds and shipping reimbursements are subject to ModBargains' discretion.

RMA Rules (All Returns)

Every return requires an approved RMA number before you ship anything back.

  • Each RMA is valid for 14 calendar days from the date it is issued.
  • Your return must be in the carrier's possession (trackable and insured) within that window.
  • Expired RMAs are void. We will not reissue an RMA for the same item.
  • Items sent back without an approved RMA will be refused.

Return Condition Requirements

All returned items are inspected. To qualify for a refund or exchange, every item must be:

  1. Unused and uninstalled.
  2. In original, undamaged packaging.
  3. Complete with all components, accessories, hardware, and documentation.
  4. In resalable condition — no scratches, paint, or modifications.

Painted exterior components: Any exterior component (body kits, spoilers, fenders, mirrors, trim, etc.) that has been painted is considered used and is not eligible for return, regardless of whether it has been installed on a vehicle. Confirm fitment before painting.

Return Shipping

Unless the return is due to our error or a confirmed defect, you are responsible for return shipping. Use a trackable and insured service, and pack items securely.

  • Damaged in return transit: If the carrier damages your return shipment, we'll file a claim. Refund processing will be paused until it's resolved. If the damage is due to improper packaging (not the carrier), no refund will be issued.
  • International returns: All return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility regardless of the reason.

We may photograph or video-record returned items upon receipt for quality control and dispute resolution.

International Orders

ModBargains is not responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or other regulatory charges imposed on international orders. These fees are the sole responsibility of the customer and are determined by the destination country's customs authority. Refusal of a shipment due to unpaid customs fees will be treated as a refused delivery (see Cancellations tab).

Manufacturer Warranty

ModBargains is a retailer, not the manufacturer. We do not provide or determine manufacturer warranties. If a product issue arises after our return period expires, you must contact the manufacturer directly. We're happy to help point you to the right warranty channel as a courtesy, but this does not create any warranty obligation on our part.

Supplier Confidentiality

For all order support, contact ModBargains directly. Do not contact our suppliers or manufacturers regarding a return without our prior written consent. Unauthorized supplier contact may result in forfeiture of any refund or credit owed.

General Provisions

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will be resolved in Orange County, CA courts. We may update this policy at any time; changes take effect upon posting. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

Disputes & Chargebacks

If a chargeback or payment dispute is initiated at any time, the following conditions apply:

  • The RMA process is immediately paused. We cannot issue refunds, replacements, or credits while a dispute is open with your payment provider.
  • You must cancel the chargeback before we can continue processing your return, exchange, or warranty request.
  • Once a chargeback is filed, the case is handled directly between you and your payment provider. ModBargains will submit all documentation, including order confirmation, product images, correspondence, and shipment records.

Important:

  • Initiating a chargeback does not cancel your responsibility to return the product under the conditions outlined in this policy.
  • If the dispute is resolved in your favor and you retain the product, no further action is required.
  • If the dispute is denied and you still wish to return the product, standard return conditions (including shipping and restocking fees) will apply.

Abuse of Disputes

ModBargains reserves the right to deny future service, returns, or warranty assistance in cases of repeated or fraudulent chargebacks.
