This high-quality lightweight titanium system, finished with hand-crafted carbon-fibre tailpipes, weighs 32.7% less than stock and includes a pair of collectors cast in-house. The Slip-On Line (Titanium) might incorporate a specially constructed Akrapovič control kit for a full sound experience. At typical cruising speeds, the sound quality is rich, but when the M2 is driven more energetically, it becomes deep and athletic. It produces a great sound at all rpms, combining comfort with sportiness in one exhaust. A groundbreaking octagonal shape has been created from lightweight titanium, with a carbon-fibre outer sleeve for the tailpipes, while the conventional cylindrical design is available for more traditional purchasers.
When tested on the Akrapovič dyno, the system increased power by 3.9 kW (5.3 hp) and torque by 13.5 Nm at 2,800 rpm, compared to a BMW M2 with stock exhaust. This setup does not require remapping and is suitable for all vehicles (OPF and non-OPF), although the ECE certificate is only valid for cars equipped with an OPF filter.
