The FLEX Z Coilovers for the 2017–2023 Tesla Model 3 were made available by Tein. While Tein FLEX Z retains all of STREET FLEX's features and quality, its price is kept low due to the new platform's acceptance. Naturally, FLEX Z keeps the beloved "Made in Yokohama" element. The FLEX Z employs a twin-tube design in an effort to ride on the streets, taking into account the usage of larger tires/wheels and the decreased ride height. Low gas pressure also reduces friction. It can follow uneven and lumpy terrain rather effectively thanks to its smooth stroke action, which provides a stable ride at high speeds and a soft ride at low speeds. The FLEX Z's full-length ride height adjustment mechanism uses a needle valve to provide the adjustment (comp./rebound together) function. The car's handling and ride may be changed to the driver's preferences by twisting the adjustment knob, which adjusts the damping force (stiffness) linearly step by step.
