Description:
HKS is known around the world as one of the most respected import car performance parts manufacturers.
"Ultimate Street Damper" developed for VAB model under supervision by rally driver Mr. Toshihiro Arai. Maintaining handling and stability to enjoy driving on various road conditions were focused to develop this damper. Then, the genuine damper delivering the best ride comfort not only for the driver but also passengers was developed. The damping force tends to be stiff to secure the ride quality; however, it may cause the reduction of the tire’s surface pressure resulting in lowering the limit grip force. Also, the ride quality may deteriorate due to the vertical G force. Reviewing the geometry and stroke, establishing required spring rate and damping force, completely eliminating unnecessary elements achieved the handling and stability in a high level that allows this product to deliver the outstanding road holding performance. Also, Mr. Arai was impressed of the improvement of understeering, which is a typical characteristic of GDB. With the latest suspension made by the latest technology, transformation of a car will be experienced. Smooth and appropriate steering and load movement is required to handle a car with this product developed under supervision by rally driver Mr. Toshihiro Arai.
New bump rubbers act as sub-springs; therefore, to adjust the vehicle height, change the case length, and to adjust the timing when the bump rubber touches, change the case length and preload.
