Please Note: This painted key hole cover is designed as a replacement for your original lock cylinder. If your vehicle doesn't have an accessible lock cylinder on the trunk and you wish to gain access to the battery in case your battery dies, it is recommended to install the key hole cover on the original lock cylinder. By installing the cover on top of the lock cylinder it provides an emergency access point in the event the battery is drained. Also, if you don't install the lock cylinder into the key hole cover, it could create an issue that will cause the vehicle to lock automatically when you close the driver door.
