The flow forming process Forgestar utilizes to create their wheels uses a combination of heat, pressure, and spinning to create a rim are with similar strength to a forged wheel. The pressure that is applied to the cast rim during the flow forming process changes its mechanical properties to those similar of a forged wheel, therefore giving Forgestar wheels up to a 15% weight reduction compared to a standard cast wheel. Note: Cone seat lug bolts are required for the Forgestar CF5 Wheel to sit properly on the hub. We can provide the lug bolts for you. Just choose the Cone Seat Lug Bolts option above.
