Description:

If you have a high powered Golf R or GTI then you've no doubt put a lot of time and money into modding your vehicle, but if you haven't upgraded that stock clutch of yours you're probably not putting down all the power you could be. The OEM clutch on the Golf R/GTI will generally start slipping once you get beyond a basic stage 1 tune which means you are not only missing out on power, your clutch will also fail much quicker due to excessive heat. With an ACT Performance Street Kit you get a heavy duty flywheel and pressure plate with an organic street clutch disk, together providing around a 58% increase in clamping force over the stock clutch. This translates to a maximum torque capacity of 500 Ft-Lbs. If that's not enough for you, you can substitute the clutch disc for a 6 Pad (6 Puck) race disc so you up the torque capacity to 640 Ft-Lbs (102% over stock).
