The Ford Ecoboost Mustang marks the beginning of a new era for Ford, while harkening back to the age of the classic SVO Mustang - the original high power Turbo Four Mustang that everyone seems to forget. Fords has taken its American icon and given it the EcoBoost treatment - V8 engine output with smaller engine fuel economy. The base output of the Mustang EB is 305hp. That's as much as the 2005 GT, and more than every non-SVT Mustang built between about 1970 and 2008.
