Stock brakes (suck...) but are okay for stopping hard once. What about stopping repeatedly, again and again? On a stock brake'd car, you will run into an issue known as brake fade. Stopping a car takes lots of force, and that force creates lots of heat. OEM brakes are NOT meant for this, and your brake distances will get longer and longer-eventually causing a wreck or failure.
