Switching between the two setups is a simple matter of removing three bands and removing the airbox lid. With open airboxes, the Mishimoto intake system reduces restriction by up to 42 percent, and significantly increased induction sound, while the closed airboxes reduced restriction by 25 percent. The improved flow also results in power gains of over 6 HP and 4.8 lb-ft. of torque with the airboxes closed. Our airboxes also feature enlarged fresh air ducts to ensure cool air for your turbos.----Flow, power, and sound are all great, but theya**re useless without safety and reliability. Our airboxes are constructed from rotational-molded XLPE that safely insulates the intake air from engine bay heat.
