Job Description:

Our office supports a retail store front, warehouses, online store, their staff, managers, and clients. The ideal candidate must work well in a team environment, as well as individually and will work directly with the President/CEO. The hours are 8:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday.

Duties:

Processing in new employee applications and verify I-9 form and Documents.

Setting up new employees in Paychex Online for: Employee profiles, time keeping, payroll processing

Help and work with insurance broker during open enrollment and with new employees once eligible

Monitor office supply levels and reorder as necessary

Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner and take all reasonable discounts on supplier invoices

Invoice and collect monthly rent from tenant(s)

Accounts payable

Record cash receipts and make bank deposits

Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account and credit card account

Respond against Chargebacks

Maintain the petty cash fund

Provide financial statements to the CPA

Maintain an orderly accounting filing system

Maintain the chart of accounts

Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements

Process payroll and commissions bi-weekly for two companies

Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested

Track employee hours using Paychex Online and notify management of any discrepancies

Preparing cash report for management

Maintain/contribute to Google calendars for self, company, and owner

Front office help in assisting walk in clients and appointments

Assist in completing any and all duties as they arise to help promote the overall health of the company

Requirements:

The bookkeeper candidate should have at minimum an Associate's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, as well as knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.

Have at least 3 years of bookkeeping experience

Have at least 2 years of experience preparing, submitting and paying BOE sales tax monthly and quarterly

Have some HR Experience and knowledge of I-9 Form, W-4 and DE-4 forms.

Have great customer service and follow up

Be organized

Be proficient in QuickBooks, Google Docs, Microsoft Office, and have great email etiquette

Have high energy, be friendly & outgoing and have a positive attitude

Take direction from management and work under pressure and deadlines

Have previous experience submitting and process bi-weekly payroll and commissions

Take initiative and work proficiently to meet deadlines with little or no supervision

Compensation:

$46,000/year Salary
