VRSF 7"" Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) Upgrade for 2007-11 BMW 135i/335i/is N54/N55 [E82/E90/E92]

The VRSF 7"" FMIC was designed to be one of the best performing direct bolt on intercoolers available on the market. The VRSF intercooler features 3D CAD designed cast aluminum end tanks for improved flow over sheet metal end tanks & durability, and is manufactured with a custom bar & plate intercooler core with custom fin pack designed to exact specifications developed by VRSF over the past 7 years for the EVO/DSM Platforms with great success.

The High Density (HD) Intercooler option will outperform the non-HD significantly due to it's incredibly high density fin pack. It's ideal for cars that are in warm climates or cars running larger turbo upgrades.

NOTE:
The 5"" stepped core unit usually does not require trimming of the black plastic shroud, however some minimal trimming is needed on select models.

The 7"" core unit requires trimming the black plastic shroud behind the bumper for installation, however the bumper does not need to be trimmed on either model. Each VRSF intercooler is hand finished and pressure tested to ensure a high quality, leak free experience.

Depending on your year you could either have a Long CP/Short Lower, or a Short CP/Long Lower. 2006 through early 2009 N54 cars use the configuration it comes with stock, late 2009-13 N54 cars will need the Longer pipe.

VRSF offers Front Mount Intercooler Upgrades in two configurations - a 5in stepped core design, or a 7in oversize intercooler. VRSF's upgraded front mount intercoolers allow for higher HP gains, mainly due to their ability to keep intake temps down while preventing heat soak - which is a common problem with the factory intercooler. This results in a more power and increased reliability, with the added benefit of reducing the potential for pre-detonation & knock.

These intercoolers also feature tabs that allow use of the factory fan shroud and includes an additional set of mounting hardware for extra support. VRSF also includes all of the custom molded couplers and stainless steel t-bolt clamps needed for installation.
