This Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX Intercooler Upgrade kit from Wagner Tuning is a high-performance redesign of the OEM intercooler system. Designed with a stepped core for optimal performance, these intercoolers are a significant improvement over the OEM design, offering improved flow and air-charge cooling properties than the OEM intercooler. CAD Designed and FEM optimized, this intercooler kit is a 100% factory replacement and utilizes the OEM mounting points for simple, straightforward installation and enhanced performance.

Wagner's engineers revised the OEM intercooler system with much larger, more efficient intercooler core and improved the end tank design to remove the OEM bottlenecks, resulting in a greater increase in flow and charge cooling properties. When upgrading to a larger intercooler, the larger volume can sometimes cause a loss in manifold pressure (boost), but Wagner Tuning's engineers have tailored the flow of the intercooler to create a design that offers minimal loss of boost pressure. Manufactured utilizing the highest quality intercooler cores, these intercoolers also feature cast, then CNC-machined aluminum end tanks to ensure reliable high performance air to air intake charge cooling. Wagner's engineers have also increased the inlet and outlet to 80mm, and comes complete with boost-rated silicone adapter hoses in an optimized flow design.
